Challenges

Loison, loved worldwide and continuing to grow, recognized the need to upgrade its IT infrastructure to support the digitalization of production and management processes.

Security and data protection
With the increasing rise of cyber threats, Loison required enhanced protection for its sensitive production and operational data. Critical production systems needed to be properly segmented and equipped with proactive response mechanisms to handle potential threats effectively. Moreover, it became urgent to establish an isolated backup environment, separated from the production site, to protect backup data from being encrypted by ransomware attacks.

Ensuring operational continuity
Loison needed to upgrade its IT infrastructure to accommodate future growth. This included prioritizing high-speed, reliable storage and improved redundancy, while also ensuring smooth operational continuity during peak seasons.

Solution

With the support of partner Nemesi IT, Loison adopted an advanced QNAP architecture based on ADRA NDR for monitoring and advanced protection of network traffic and Airgap+ for a secure and isolated backup strategy.

The solution integrates both operational systems and IT infrastructure into a cohesive, secure framework. It includes a redundant network over dual data centers, high-speed cabling (10/25 GbE), VLAN segmentation with dedicated security policies, and automated air-gapped backups, ensuring multi-level data protection against evolving cyber threats, including ransomware.

Results

Loison’s IT infrastructure is now more resilient, secure, and reliable, with QNAP's ADRA NDR providing real-time network traffic protection and Airgap+ ensuring isolated, secure backup. Business data is safeguarded against advanced threats, including ransomware, and operational continuity is assured even during the most intense production phases.

ADRA: Advanced network traffic protection
With ADRA NDR, Loison’s network is continuously monitored, providing advanced protection against cyber threats. By detecting anomalies and potential risks in real-time, ADRA ensures that malicious activities are immediately addressed, reducing the risk of data breaches and operational disruption.

Airgap+: Secure and isolated backups
Airgap+ ensures that Loison’s backup data is fully isolated from the production environment, safeguarding it from ransomware and other cyber threats. The automated air-gapped backups provide a secure, unaltered copy of critical business data, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime in case of an attack.
